Global Net Report : The death toll from a blast at a mosque in Narayanganj’s West Talla area has risen to 11. They died while undergoing treatment at the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery. Samanta Lal Sen, an advisory doctor of the institute, told reporters today morning.

Samanta Lal Sen, head of Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery said 60 to 70 per cent of the burnt bodies of most of the burn victims were burnt at the hospital. The condition of most of them is critical. He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had called him in the morning. He directed to ensure maximum medical care to the burn victims.

Around 40 people suffered severe injuries in a blast at Pashchim Talla Baitus Salam Mosque of Narayanganj after Esha prayers yesterday.

Fire officials suspect accumulated gas from a leaked pipe line caused a fire that might have triggered the AC explosion.

The dead have been identified as Rifat (18), Mostafa Kamal (34), Zubair (18), Sabbir (21), Kuddus Bepari (72), Delwar Hossain (48), Zunayed (17), Humayun Kabir (70), Ibrahim (43) and Jamal (40).
