Global Net Report: The 35th founding anniversary of Nabinagar Press Club of Brahmanbaria was celebrated on Monday 22nd November at noon with a discussion meeting and prayer mahfil and cake cutting. At the beginning of the meeting, a minute of silence was observed for the souls of the members who have died at different times since the establishment of the Press Club.
Advocate Shib Shankar Das, Mayor of Nabinagar Municipality was present as the chief guest in the performance of Saidul Alam Soraf, General Secretary of the Press Club. Special guests on the occasion were Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mohammad Mosharaf Hossain, Municipal Councilor Gani Chan Maqsod.
Other speakers at the meeting were Abu Kamal Khandaker, Founder President of Nabinagar Press Club, Mohammad Arjo, The Daily Ittafaq, BTV and UNB District corresponded, Former President of Brahmanbaria Press Club, Mohammad Tajul Islam, Senior Vice President of Nabinagar Press Club, Shyama Prasad Chakraborty Shyamal, Monirul Islam Babu, Lion Mithu Dhar Chowdhury, Editor of The Global Net, Amjad Hossain, Shah Nur Khan Alamgir, Mohammad Selim Reza, Shafiqul Islam Badal, Saiful Islam Robin, Khalil Pardesi and others.
The event was attended by people from different walks of life including journalists from various print and electronic media. At the beginning of the program, Maulana Mohammad Abdur Rahman recited the Holy Quran and journalist Sadhan Saha Joy recited the Holy Gita.
