A seminar titled ‘Obstacles to improving the quality of education and what we can do’ was held at the Nabinagar Government College auditorium in Brahmanbaria. The seminar was inaugurated by Professor Ahsan Parvez, Head of the Department of Philosophy of the college, at 12 noon on Wednesday (February 12).

The seminar was organized by the newspaper on the occasion of the eighth anniversary of the English weekly ‘The Global Net’ published from Nabinagar.

Chaired by The Global Net editor and publisher Lion Mithu Dhar Chowdhury, the seminar featured various recommendations on improving the quality of education, including Nabinagar Government College associate professor Dr. Salah Uddin Aksar, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Mohammad Al Mamun, Narayanpur DS Kamil Madrasa principal Md. Rafiqul Islam, Ibrahimpur Azmatullah Madrasa principal Enamul Haque Kutubi, Kaler Kantho regional representative, senior journalist Gaurang Debnath Apu, former lecturer of Nabinagar Mohila College Mohammad Mujibur Rahman, Shibpur High School headmaster Shib Prasad Chakraborty, Nabinagar Upazila Primary Teachers Association president and headmaster ATM Rezaul Karim Sabuj, municipal madrasa teacher Mohammad Ahidullah, computer instructor Abdur Rahman Shah Paran, journalist Nasir Chowdhury, student Sabuj Mia, among others.
