Global Net Report: A 65-year-old woman named Rahima Begum died on the spot when a tree branch fell on her head near Mahasmashan on the middle bank of Nabinagar-Kompaniganj road this morning. Two others were injured in the incident and were rushed to Nabinagar Upazila Health Complex. Mayor Advocate Shib Shankar Das, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Akramul Siddiq visited the spot and consoled the bereaved family and also paid Tk 20,000 for the burial shroud. Instructions have also been issued to the Forest Department and Roads and Highways Department to identify and remove such endangered trees.
