Global Net Report : Countrywide second submarine cable Internet Service line disruption yesterday due to damage done by excavator.
Moshiur Rahman, Managing Director of Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited (BSCCL) said Internet services has restored after repairing the damaged parts at Kuakata submarine cable landing station in Patuakhali district today. The line has damage at Alipur under Kalapara upazila in the district around yesterday noon while some local workers were operating an excavator.
Last night, Harun-or- Rashid, security officer of the submarine landing station in Kuakata, filed a case accusing five with Mohipur Police Station in this regard. Police arrested two of the accused.
This line provides 40 percent of the total bandwidth around the country. 20,000 kilometre Cable system connected 19 countries from Singapore to France.
