The grand finale of ICT Olympiad Bangladesh Season 2 took place on May 24, 2025, at the Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT), bringing together the nation’s top young tech talents. Out of over 10,000 participants from across the country, 290 finalists competed in a day-long event, aiming to showcase their ICT skills, problem-solving abilities, and innovative thinking.
The event was organized by ICT Olympiad Bangladesh, with participation from students at school, college, and university levels. The competition’s mission is to empower youth in information technology, develop 21st-century skills, and promote ICT education nationwide.
Professor Dr. A B M Shawkat Ali, Vice-Chancellor of BUBT, attended as the Chief Guest, highlighting the importance of ICT and government-led tech development initiatives. Other esteemed attendees included jury board members, academic leaders, tech entrepreneurs, and industry professionals.
Following a rigorous evaluation led by Chief Technology Officer Md. Shahinur Islam and a panel of ICT educators and experts, 39 winners were selected through online, offline, and in-person assessments. Winners received cash prizes, laptops, tablets, health insurance, local and international tours, trophies, medals, and certificates. They will also be prepared to represent Bangladesh in future international ICT competitions.
In his address, Mohammad Shahriar Khan, Founder of ICT Olympiad Bangladesh, said,
“Our vision is to create a future-ready generation empowered with technology. This Olympiad is not just a contest—it’s a platform for growth.”
Md. Abdur Rahman Nipu, Senior Vice Chairman, added,
“We believe the youth of Bangladesh possess immense potential. With ICT skills, they can be the driving force of our nation’s development.”
Engineer Md. Safayet Hossain, Ariful Hasan Apu, Md. Tahzibul Islam, Aman Suleiman, and Mujtaba Sattar Ananta were among the key jury and organizers who officially announced and honored the winners.
The event concluded with the announcement of Season 3 of ICT Olympiad Bangladesh, along with a photo session, cultural performances, and technology exhibitions, drawing praise and enthusiasm from all attendees.
