
Global Net Report : Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) will start another round combing operation against the Aedes mosquitoes carrier the both Dengue and Chikungunya from tomorrow.
The 10 days drive will continue up to August 20. The drive will be conducted — dividing a ward into 10 sectors. Each day DNCC will conduct the drive in all the sub-sectors, covering all the wards under DNCC. Teams will collect picture, address, mobile numbers of houses if they find Aedes larvae or breeding sources.
DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam sought the cooperation of Councilor, journalists and city dwellers to make the campaign a success.
Mayor Atiqul said, “As long as there is stagnant water in and around houses or other places, we will remain under risk of dengue,”. He also said, each house’s clean up stagnant water every three days. Meanwhile DNCC found Aedes mosquito larvae at some houses and fine them by mobile court.
