Global Net Report : Attorney General Mahbubey Alam is no more. He died at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka on Sunday.
Attorney General’s son Sumon Mahbub told that doctors declared his father dead at 7.25 pm.
Mahbubey Alam, the state’s chief legal officer, is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter. He was 71 years old.
Earlier on the night of September 3, the Attorney General felt fever. The next morning his coronavirus was detected. He was admitted to CMH that day. When his condition deteriorated, he was taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on September 18. He was kept in life support.
Senior lawyer Mahbubey Alam was appointed as the 15th Attorney General of the country on January 13, 2009. He held this position until his death.
