Global Net Report : Customs officials detained a man with around 3.7 kilograms of gold at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport this morning.

Sulaiman Hossain, Assistant Commissioner (B-shift) of customs said, detainee Almas Ali carried  32 gold bars from United Arab Emirate (Dubai) by hiding those inside two mixer machines. He landed at the airport on a BG-148 flight from Dubai this morning. The airport authorities scanned his luggage and found the gold bars hidden inside the mixer machines, he added.

The value of the gold is around Tk 2.22 crore. Legal action against him is underway, the official said.
