Global Net Report : More than 13 lakh students have applied for admission in class XI in the academic year 2020-21. The first round of applications is coming to an end on Thursday night. It started on August 9. This time only online admission application has been taken.
This time again the admission is being done with the help of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) under Dhaka Education Board. Till now 13 lakh 31 thousand 89 students have applied for admission in different educational institutions. However, there is an opportunity to apply till 11:59 tonight.
After the first stage, there is an opportunity to apply in two more stages. Of course then the application is very low. Students seeking admission have been able to apply online for a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 colleges or equivalent educational institutions in order of preference. According to the number of applicants and the number of seats in the college, a student will be selected on the basis of the results of SSC and equivalent examinations. The results of the students selected in the first phase will be released on August 25 after the verification and selection.
After that the second phase application will be taken from 31st August to 2nd September. The third stage application will be taken on September 6 and 7. After confirmation of admission, after the migration work, the admission work will be done from 13 to 15 September.
This time no quota was kept except the quota of 5 percent freedom fighters. However, special arrangements have been made for students with disabilities, BKSP students, students with outstanding achievements (awards) at the national level in sports and cultural activities.
Although the results of SSC and equivalent examinations were released on May 31, the admission in class XI was blocked due to the Corona epidemic. This time 16 lakh 90 thousand 523 candidates passed the SSC and equivalent examinations. A total of 1 lakh 35 thousand 898 candidates got GPA-5. And there are about 22 lakh seats for admission in class XI all over the country. Although there is no crisis with the total number of seats, many students will not be able to get admission in the expected colleges due to lack of seats in good colleges.
Since 2015, the work of enrolling students in class XI online is being done centrally through Dhaka Education Board.
