Tri-annual conference of Brahmanbaria Nabinagar Upazila Awami League was held.
This conference of Awami League upazila branch was held on Sunday (27/11) at Nabinagar Government High School ground.
Abu Saeed Al Mahmud Swapan MP, the organizing secretary of the Central Awami League, was the chief guest at the meeting. Central Committee Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Sujit Roy Nandi, President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Disaster Management and Relief Ministry Captain (Retd.) AB Tajul Islam MP, Member of the Parliamentary Committee on Information Ministry Mohammad Ebadul Karim Bulbul MP were the special guests. .
District Awami League President Raam Ubaidul Moktadir Chowdhury MP inaugurated the conference.
Keynote speaker was Al-Mamun Sarkar, Chairman of District Council and General Secretary of District League.
Upazila Awami League president and former MP Faizur Rahman Badal presided.
In the second phase of the conference presided over by district Awami League president R A M Obaidul Moktadir Chowdhury MP, current president and former MP Faizur Rahman Badal was announced as the president and joint general secretary of the party Zahir Uddin Chowdhury Sahan as the general secretary. The leaders gave instructions to form the full committee of Upazila Awami League within the next fifteen days. The last conference of Awami League was held in 2014.
