Three Killed in Head-On Collision Between Passenger Bus and CNG Auto-Rickshaw in Nabinagar, Brahmanbaria

Three people have been killed in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Nabinagar, Brahmanbaria. Among the deceased are the auto-rickshaw driver and two passengers.

The tragic accident occurred on Thursday (June 5) at around 5:30 a.m. in front of the Ibrahimpur Orphanage on the Nabinagar to Companiganj regional road.

Eyewitnesses reported that a CNG auto-rickshaw heading from Nabinagar to Companiganj was struck at high speed by a Sylhet-bound bus coming from the opposite direction. The impact killed the CNG driver and two passengers on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Sohag Mia (19), son of Billal Mia from Narayanpur village in the upazila and the driver of the CNG; Abul Kashem (58), son of Hazarat Ali from Lapang village in the same upazila; and Nurul Alam (55), son of Abul Khayer from South Faradnagar area of Sadar upazila in Feni district.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nabinagar Police Station, Abdur Razzak, confirmed the incident and stated that the responsible bus has been seized. Legal actions are being taken in connection with the incident.
