The Cine Caravan Film Festival has officially begun, organized by the Department of Theatre and Film of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and supported by the Rainbow Film Society. The festival will feature twelve films from nine countries and will be held across various districts in Bangladesh.
Screenings will take place from February 20 to 22 in Narayanganj, Jamalpur, Gopalganj, Chapainawabganj, Joypurhat, Khulna, Jashore, Dinajpur, Patuakhali, Jhalokathi, Barguna, and Sylhet. Films will be shown daily from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the respective District Shilpakala Academy auditoriums.
On the opening day, the Saudi Arabian film Two Signors was screened, followed by Iraq’s Nobody Knows and Kyrgyzstan’s Deal at the Border.
Today, the festival continues with Egypt’s Departure at 3:00 PM, followed by Turkey’s When the Walnut Leaves Turn Yellow and Syria’s Warning. The final screenings of the day include Afghanistan’s The Most Beautiful Kabuli Dress and Turkey’s Beyond the Wedge.
Tomorrow’s schedule begins at 3:00 PM with Tunisia’s A Mediterranean Day, followed by two films from Iran—Baran and Maybe Somewhere Else. The day concludes with Iraq’s The Last Postman.
From February 26 to 28, the same films will be screened in Barishal and Rajshahi at their respective District Shilpakala Academy auditoriums, daily from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM. All screenings are free and open to the public.
