Global Net Report : Rakesh Asthana, Director General of the Indian Border Security Force (BSF), said this at a joint press conference after a four-day BGB-BSF Director General level conference here on Saturday.

Bangladesh has promised to reduce the killing rate on the Bangladesh-India border to zero again.

At a press conference, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Director General Major General Mohammad Safinul Islam said terrorists were crossing the border into India. That is why murders are happening.

Asked whether the failure was due to the BGB, Safinul Islam said India’s border with Bangladesh is more than 4,000 km. There are rivers, mountains. Even then there are now five kilometers of border posts.

The BSF director general said most of the killings took place between 10:30 pm and 5:30 am. He assured that the number of murders would be reduced to zero. For this, BGB-BSF will conduct joint patrols at the border and try to raise awareness among the people of the area.

The BSF director general has admitted that drugs entered Bangladesh through the Indian border. They are working on drug control.

The conference was held in the conference room of BGB headquarters. A 13-member Bangladesh delegation led by Major General Mohammad Safinul Islam took part in the conference.

The Bangladesh delegation included Additional Director Generals of the BGB and concerned staff officers of the BGB headquarters as well as representatives of the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs, Joint River Commission and Land Records and Survey Department.

A six-member Indian delegation led by BSF Director General Rakesh Asthana attended the conference. The Indian delegation included senior officials from the BSF headquarters and officials from the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs and External Affairs.

At this year’s conference, unarmed Bangladeshi nationals were shot / killed / injured at the border, smuggling of phencidyl, marijuana, alcohol, yaba, Viagra / Senegra tablets and other drugs from the other side of the border to Bangladesh, smuggling of arms, ammunition and explosives to Bangladesh. , Illegal Border Crossing / Forced Intrusion into Bangladesh, Pushin of Mentally Ill Indian Citizens in Bangladesh, Developmental Works within 150 Yards of Border, Preservation of Border River Banks of Both Countries, Construction of Visitor Gallery at Banglabandha ICP, Integrated Border Management (CBMP) According to the BGB, regular meetings of Frontier level officers, training of hill flying training and operations in the hilly areas and ways to enhance mutual communication and friendship between the two forces were discussed.
