
Global Net Report : Biman Bangladesh Airlines has received landing permission for commercial flights to Saudi Arabia from October 1. Besides, they will operate two special flights from Dhaka to Jeddah and Riyadh this September.
Biman’s Deputy General Manager (Public Relations) Tahera Khandaker said this on Wednesday. She said that on October 1, Saudi Arabia received permission to land commercial flights to Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam. Flight schedule will be informed later. Apart from this, Biman will operate two special flights from Dhaka on September 26 for the return ticket holders in Jeddah on March 16 and on September 27 for the return ticket holders in Riyadh on March 17.
Tahera Khandaker said passengers with return tickets on March 16 and 17 will have to contact the Biman Sales office tomorrow, September 24, to book tickets for the flight, along with tickets, passports, Saudi Arabian designated apps or the accompanying documents from the link. Other passengers will also be notified of the booking periodically subject to new flight approval. So other passengers have been asked not to crowd the ticket counter.
According to the airline, the Covid-19 Negative Certificate is mandatory to travel to Saudi Arabia and must arrive in Saudi Arabia within 48 hours of sample collection. For this, all the passengers from Dhaka have to test Covid-19. Besides, special flights will leave from Dhaka.
