Police have recovered 11 stolen motorcycles in Nabinagar, Brahmanbaria.
Police seized these stolen motorcycles after conducting a raid on a godown in Baluchar field of Zamindar Bari in Ward No. 4 of Nabinagar Municipality area around 12 noon on Tuesday.
Police said that based on a secret tip-off, a raid was conducted on Arfatul Islam’s godown near Baluchar field of Zamindar Bari in the municipality area on Tuesday afternoon and 11 stolen motorcycles were recovered. Sensing the presence of the police, the accused fled.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nabinagar Police Station Abdur Razzak confirmed the information and said that a gang has been selling stolen motorcycles in the area for a long time. One of them is Arfatul Islam of Bogdahar village in Nabinagar Purba Union. He fled while conducting the raid. The operation to arrest him is ongoing. A case has been filed against 4 unidentified people in this incident. We will continue such operations.
